The Same High-Level Education, Less Time, Less Money!
Join our 2week Yoga Teacher Training in Greece and get your 200-hour Yoga Alliance certification
You shouldn't have to change your life to follow your dream of attending Yoga Teacher Training. At Alpha Yoga School, we decided to adapt our yoga training instead.
The Hybrid Yoga Teacher Training is for all those who cannot attend three or more weeks of on-site Yoga Teacher Training for personal or social reasons.
This training now meets your needs for time efficiency without sacrificing your immersion experience.
With Hybrid Yoga Teacher training, you won't need to use all your annual leave, quit your job, or abandon your goldfish for weeks. And seriously? Disappearing to Asia for months to do a course? Let's not turn your yoga training into a sequel to Indiana Jones.
Just swap your vacation in Barcelona for a yoga course by the sea in Greece. And bam! In no time, you are a certified yoga teacher.
Let's be blunt...
Don't even think about the hybrid yoga teacher training...
For years, we have successfully run in-person and fully online yoga teacher training courses. As a result, we decided to combine the best of both worlds in one hybrid training. The same high level of education, in less time, and for less money.
We still recommend the full three-week on-location course as the best choice if you have the time. The reason is: maximum experience.
But. If you don't have the time (or money), hybrid teacher training is your next best bet.
Similarly, don't convince yourself that 100% online teacher training is even better. It will not help you reach your full potential as a yoga practitioner or a teacher. The best yoga teachers didn’t learn online, at least not fully.
No more sacrifices...
The In-Person Magic
Imagine feeling something so physical as a yoga pose from a computer screen. Absurd, right? Now, picture learning with 15 like-minded people and two teachers. Spoiler alert: it's so much better. Some things must be felt, seen, and experienced.
The Secret Ingredient is IMMERSION.
Immersion is the subconscious imprint that makes an on-location yoga teacher training unforgettable. It is a memory that will stay in your heart forever.
You do NOT want to negotiate on that.
And with this training, you will have it!
No Regrets, No "Could Haves"
During your time in Greece, every moment of your day is valuable. Every minute is gold, and the thought that will guide you is this:
"There's no way I could've mastered this online in my pajamas."
But there is a catch...
Welcome to Your Two-Week Workation
Our Hybrid yoga teacher training isn’t for anyone. It may not even be for you. This is not another “finish it whenever” yoga training.
The online portion requires self-discipline and accountability. We'll keep an eye on your progress but don't expect us to hold your hand through it.
Our core philosophy...
When it comes to yoga teacher training...
A yoga teacher training is a yoga education. Once we get this part right, results follow. While other yoga schools are proud of the number of their students, we are proud of the quality of our graduates. Their words speak for us.
Our non-negotiable values are integrity, purpose, contribution, and honesty. We are also clear about our offerings and believe clarity is power. What you see is what you get.
Enrollment...
How does this hybrid teacher training work?

The Hybrid course fee covers 13 nights/14 days. It does so regardless of whether you attend 10, 14, or any number of days between.
The start date of the hybrid course aligns with the start day of our 3-week yoga course. This way, you will blend in with the rest of the group right from the beginning.

- Yoga Alliance Certification
According to Yoga Alliance 200-hr Yoga Teacher Training courses can be:
- Entirely in-person.
- Entirely distance learning.
- A mix of both.
The choice should meet the yoga school's needs and demands, as outlined on the Yoga Alliance's website.
Our 2-week hybrid yoga course combines online and in-person learning. It has two main sections.
The trainees should ideally complete the first section through self-study before the training.
The second section is a two-week program in Greece. You will study alongside students who join us for three weeks. During this period, you will have a mix of theoretical and practical classes.
During the 2 weeks in Greece, we split our yoga classes between Vinyasa Flow and Ashtanga Yoga. You will practice 3 Vinyasa and 3 Ashtanga classes per week.
- No two Vinyasa classes are alike. The theme of morning classes is cleverly aligned with the theory covered in Teaching Skills.
- Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga is a pre-set sequence of postures linked by the breath. Over time, with repeated practice, it unfolds into a moving meditation. This is the transformational beauty of the Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga method.
- In our Podia teaching platform, you will get access to a variety of yoga classes. You can practice them online before or after the course in Greece.
Learn fundamental sequencing principles to create unique Vinyasa Flow classes. The different types of Vinyasa classes covered are:
-
peak pose class
-
well-rounded class
-
peak per flow
Furthermore, teaching skills can include skills such as how to:
-
Demonstrate asanas and maintain group energy.
-
Modify asanas and work with a mixed level of students. By the way, any class with more than two students is a mixed-level class.
-
Give verbal instructions and use your voice as a yoga teacher.
If you want to be a teacher, this is a MUST. Spoiler alert: many schools do not offer this module. They skip it and just replace it with more yoga classes.
You will teach in small groups and observe and assist in other students’ classes. There will be lots of practical teaching, planning, and feedback. This will help you improve your sequencing and teaching skills.
Some things must be felt, like alignment and hands-on assists. In this module, we will examine over 30 yoga postures in terms of:
- Correct and safe positioning of the body.
- Common misalignment, "escapes", and tendencies that you may not even be aware of.
- Props or not, these workshops will help you progress safely to advanced poses. This means that, no matter where your body is now, you'll know the right path to take from here.
- The art of hands-on adjustments. You will get lots of opportunities to practice and receive feedback from your fellow students.
Our workshops are a game-changer 🙂
-
We will break down complex postures like lotus, headstand, Chaturanga Dandasana, and Jump back & Jump through.
-
You will learn the prerequisites, preparation drills, and modifications that help you achieve their full expression safely.
-
Learn how to recognize when your body is ready to attempt advanced poses, how to progress, and how to teach them to others.
In this module, you will explore functional anatomy and how it relates to your yoga practice.
- You will learn about the skeletal, muscular, and nervous systems. We will break down the body regions most relevant to yoga practice.
- You will use practical exercises to explore muscles and joints in your body.
- You will leave with useful, yoga-related anatomy knowledge of your own and your students' bodies.
- The anatomy module will be both online and on-location.
You will explore the ancient wisdom of yoga philosophy, including studying yoga texts and concepts.
- The philosophy segment will be mainly conducted on-location in Greece.
- The topics covered are the history of yoga and Vedic culture, 4 main styles of Yoga and their differences, the 8-Limbs of Patanjali, yoga Sutras, Yamas, Niyamas, Chakras, Mantras, and Chanting.
You will learn Pranayama (breathing) and Meditation. These are ancient Hatha techniques. The approach will be simple and structured.
-
You will start every morning with these practices so you can feel grounded and ready for the day.
- After completing the course, you will be equipped with practices that you can use in your everyday life.
-
The instructions in this course are in English; however, you don't need to be proficient in English.
-
We invite people of all backgrounds who love dynamic styles of yoga. We especially welcome students dealing with injuries. Besides, injuries make us better teachers.
-
The applicant must arrive with an open mind, a genuine desire to learn, and be ready to be a student. Should these values resonate with you, we will wait for you in the Greek Islands.
After completing the training, you will receive a 200-hour Yoga Alliance certificate. You can use it to register with Yoga Alliance U.S.A. and Yoga Professionals U.K. as a 200hr Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT-200).
The Yoga Alliance certification means you can get a yoga job anywhere in the world. Studying with a school not registered with the Yoga Alliance may limit your job opportunities. You will be limited to yoga studios that do not ensure the education of their teachers. Is it worth taking the risk?
- After finishing the online section and the 2 weeks in Greece, you will have a multiple-choice and practical exam.
-
To graduate successfully, you must complete all course requirements. Please don't mistake this Yoga Teacher Training for a Yoga Retreat. You will be requested to participate, study, and be actively present.

Certification and Educational Categories
This 2-week Yoga Teacher Training in Greece is registered with Yoga Alliance U.S.A. and Yoga Professionals U.K.
It focuses on 4 educational categories:
Asana practice: You will practice Ashtanga and Vinyasa Yoga. This is not a "multi-style" yoga training where you learn "everything" and nothing well. Don't fall into the trap of multi-style programs, which try to please everyone. We like to keep things focused and we hope you appreciate that too.
Teaching Skills & Adjustments: You will start teaching and practice hands-on adjustments on your fellow students from day one. You will receive constant feedback from your teacher so that you can improve each and every time. This will prepare you to become a confident yoga teacher should you wish to teach after the course is over.
Yoga Philosophy: While asana is all about how to do yoga, here, you go deep into the why behind it. This is a theoretical but very interactive subject.
Functional Anatomy: To understand sequencing, how your own body moves, and how your students' bodies move. This module will help you create safe and sustainable yoga classes for your students.
Hybrid yoga teacher training isn't for everyone, but it might just be for you. Step into the online realm with self-discipline, and brace yourself for an intense in-person experience. Let us transform your passion into expertise. Let the hybrid yoga teacher training begin!

Frequently Asked Questions about the 200hrs Hybrid Yoga Teacher Training
I cannot do crazy postures. Can I still join this course?
Of course, you can. The asanas are a never-ending journey, and we shouldn't get trapped in them. Besides, the best yoga practitioners are not always the best teachers. These are different skills. The point of this course is not to leave on a one-hand handstand. The main aim is to practice, gain knowledge, and learn as many skills as possible. Among these skills are the correct alignment of the asanas, how to teach, how to adjust, how to modify postures, and more.
Will I learn how to teach yoga?
Yes! We put a lot of emphasis on this section. You will teach a lot during the course and gain continuous feedback so that you can improve day by day. You will be confident and equipped with great teaching tools, which are not typically provided in most 200-hour courses offered by other yoga schools.
What happens if I need to cancel my spot?
Signing up for yoga teacher training is a big commitment on your side. On the schools' side, organizing such a course takes a lot of money. Therefore, the initial deposit of 400€ is nonrefundable and nontransferable to another course. Your second transfer is partially transferable to a future course.
On which day should I arrive / leave?
The arrival date is the first day you see on the course of your choice. Check-out from the retreat center is on the last day of the course of your choice. Nothing happens on the last day except for early checkout and farewell. More info on flight times is below.
What time should I arrive / leave if I join you on Evia Island?
Find a flight that gets to Athens Airport earlier than 2:00 p.m. so that you can get the shared mini bus with everyone else. The ride from Athens Airport to both retreat centers on Evia Island is around 2.5 hours. On the last day, please book your flight, taking into consideration that it takes 2.5 hours to get to the airport. We recommend finding a flight after midday.
What time should I arrive / leave if I join you on Lefkada Island?
Find a flight that gets to Athens Airport earlier than 2:00 p.m. so that you can get the shared mini bus with everyone else. The mini-bus is scheduled for 3:00 pm. The ride from Athens Airport to the retreat center on Lefkada Island is around five hours. If you are flying out from Athens Airport, your flight needs to be in the afternoon. A more convenient airport is Prezeva. You can also book a flight to Preveza Airport (Aktion). This airport is only 90 minutes from the retreat center. If you are flying out from Preveza airport, the flight can be any time on the last day of your course. We can arrange a taxi to take you there.
Are there any additional "hidden" costs I should know about?
1. As lunch is not included in this course, students may want to shop at the local supermarket for extra food. We believe that 15€ per week would be more than enough for this food. 2. Your transportation can cost anywhere between 40-65€ one way for the minibus 4. Any personal expenses that you think you might need.
How many students do you accept per course?
Due to the retreat center's limited capacity, we can accommodate approximately 22-25 students in total. For the hybrid course, we accept 4-5 students per course. To ensure your spot, we encourage early applications, especially because there is online content that should be completed in advance.
