It shouldn't take weeks to finish Yoga Teacher Training...
200hour Hybrid Yoga Teacher Training in the Greek Islands.
Experience Yoga Training on Your Terms
You shouldn’t have to choose between the transformative experience of a long in-person yoga teacher training and the convenience of online education.
Don't convince yourself that 100% online teacher training will help you reach your full potential. The best yoga teachers didn’t learn online, at least not fully. Imagine feeling something so physical and kinesthetic as a yoga pose or a yoga assist from a computer screen. Absurd, right?
On the other hand, picture feeling it when surrounded by 15 like-minded humans and 3 expert teachers, actually physically present in the room. Spoiler alert: it's not the same. Some things must be felt, seen, and experienced.
And seriously, disappearing in Asia for months? Let's not make it a sequel to Indiana Jones.
Embarking on a yoga teacher training journey shouldn't feel like a leap into the unknown, either. There is no need to use up all your annual leave, quit your job, leave your life partner, or send your kids and pets off to not-so-excited family members.
Efficiency without compromise...
Don't adapt your life to follow your yoga dream...
At Alpha Yoga School, we decided to adapt our program to fit your needs for efficiency while not sacrificing anything on the quality of your experience.
We have successfully run in-person as well as fully online yoga teacher training courses for years. This 200hour hybrid yoga teacher training offers you the best of both worlds and the worst of neither. We flexed the pre-conceived idea of yoga training, having to last for weeks.
We have meticulously crafted the curriculum and deliberated over exactly what can and cannot be taught online.
You shouldn’t need to go to (insert exotic-sounding location) to learn about the anatomy of the knee. Honesty, it would be better if you didn’t because the online content can be watched and rewatched whenever and wherever.
No more sacrifices...
The In-Person Magic
Unlike online or long-weekend YTTCs that tend to span over months, with this 2-week 200hour hybrid yoga teacher training, you will not be asked to sacrifice the most important ingredient of on-location yoga teacher training.
The Secret Ingredient: IMMERSION!
Immersion is the subconscious imprint, that makes the yoga course unforgettable. Memory that will stay in your heart forever.
You do NOT want to negotiate on that.
And with this training, you will have it!
Exclusive Hybrid Yoga Experience
But how is this training different from the myriad of other hybrid yoga courses?
Forget about being herded into regular training sessions with a bunch of strangers just to check off your on-location hours.
Beware: hybrid students risk wasting time when joining regular yoga courses.
Unlike other yoga schools, we do not fill unsold spots in our regular 3-week yoga courses with hybrid students. The regular 3-week training schedule is 100% tailored for regular students, not for the 2-week hybrids.
At our school, we don't mix apples and pears. Instead, we offer a dedicated Hybrid Yoga Course with a dedicated hybrid schedule.
No Regrets, No "Could Haves"
During your time in Greece, every moment of your day is valuable; there's no redundant re-listening to content you've already covered online.
Picture this: Every minute is gold, and your engagement will be guided by the thought, "There's no way I could've mastered this in my pajamas at home."
There is a catch...
Welcome to Your Two-Week Workation
This hybrid yoga training isn’t for anyone. It may not even be for you.
This is not another “finish it whenever” yoga training.
The online portion requires self-discipline.
We'll keep an eye on your progress but don't expect us to hold your hand through it.
The in-person portion will be intense. Less vacation, more teacher training boot camp. Despite being set in a stunning location and with plenty of beach time, you are here to work.
If you like to have things nice and easy, delivered on a silver plate, join our regular 3-week course. There, we will spoon-feed you everything. But do you have the time and money for that luxury?
If the answer's a confident "yes," check out the dates and prices.
Results guaranteed...
If you want a return on your investment
At Alpha Yoga School, that's not a wish, it's a guarantee. Because, in the Hybrid Yoga Teacher Training game, we don't just bend on the mat; we bend the rules to make your yoga dreams a reality.
Our goal? To mold you into a confident, safe yoga practitioner and a sought-after yoga teacher. The results? Expect them to speak volumes.

Registered Yoga Schools can continue to offer programs in multiple formats, including 100% in-person, 100% distance learning, or a combination of both, based on what aligns most effectively with the needs and demands of the yoga school.
This 2-week yoga course is a combination of distance and in-person learning, structured into 3 primary sections:
The first section is composed of the self-study portion, which needs to be completed before the training totaling 78 hours. The main modules in this section are anatomy (30hrs), philosophy (30hrs), alignment (9 hrs) and teaching skills (8hrs).
The next section comprises 9 live Zoom classes before the practical course starts, adding up to 18 hours. These classes will be recorded by us and can be watched at your own pace. However, we recommend that you take them in "real time" with the teacher. These classes take place 2 months before the course starts. Hint, hint: Sign up in advance!
The third section entails the practical training component, conducted in person, over 2 weeks in Southern Greece, totaling 105 hours.
The total amount of hours: 77hrs + 18hrs + 105hrs = 200hrs
We split our asana classes between Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga and Vinyasa Flow Yoga. You will practice 3 Ashtanga and 3 Vinyasa classes per week.
Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga is a pre-set sequence of postures linked by the breath. Through the practice of breathing, postures, and gazing points, the practitioner slowly gains control of the senses and mind. Over time, with repeated practice, it unfolds into a moving meditation. The mind becomes calmer, and slowly we are able to clear away the clutter. That's when the light of yoga begins to shine. This is the transformational beauty of Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga.
Students will attend 18 hours (9 sessions) of Ashtanga Yoga classes online, before joining the on-location training, so that they are familiar with the practice and sequence.
No two vinyasa classes are alike. The morning Vinyasa classes are designed to complement the theory covered in "Teaching Skills".
In these classes, you will grow as a practitioner, deepen your practice and learn to work with your body in a more skillful and effective way.
Learn fundamental sequencing principles to craft your unique Vinyasa Flow classes. Examine different sequencing strategies for beginners versus intermediate students.
The different types of Vinyasa classes covered are:
- peak pose class
- well-rounded class
- peak per flow
Furthermore, teaching skills can include skills such as how to:
- demonstrate asanas, and maintain group energy.
- modify asanas and work with a mixed level of practitioners class.
- give verbal instructions and use your voice as a yoga teacher.
You will teach in small groups and observe, analyze, and assist in other students’ classes. There will be lots of practical teaching, planning, guidance, and feedback on how to improve all sequencing and teaching skills. Many schools do not offer this module. If you want to be a teacher, this is a MUST.
Some things have to be experienced, like alignment and hands-on assistance. In this module, more than 40 yoga postures will be examined in terms of:
- Correct and safe positioning of the body.
- Common misalignment, "escapes", and tendencies that you may not be aware of.
- Modifications for even the most advanced poses, using props or not, set you on a safe path toward the goal of the pose. This means that wherever your body is now, you will know what is the correct road to take from now on.
- What is the best option that you can offer to your students, based on their level?
- The art of hands-on adjustments. You will get lots of opportunities to practice them with your fellow students. At the same time, you will receive constant feedback from them and your teacher.
- 9 hours of alignment are required to be completed online before joining the 2-week practical yoga teacher training in Greece.
In our opinion hands-on adjustments, pose workshops and student teaching must be in person. Online cannot compare. During these workshops, we will break down complex postures like lotus (Padmasana), headstand (Sirsasana), Chaturanga Dandasana, and jump back & jump through, as they deserve more attention and time.
Learn how to recognize when your body is ready to attempt them, how to progress, and if you choose, how to teach them to others.
We teach pre-requisite steps that include preparation exercises, appropriate warm-ups, and requirements for the full expression of these postures. These classes will bring safety, awareness, and mindfulness to your practice and teaching. They are a game-changer 🙂
You don't need to go to (insert exotic-sounding location ) to learn about the anatomy of the knee. Honesty, it would be better if you didn’t. Anatomy will be presented in the self-study format with the ideal goal of finishing it before the immersive training in Greece begins. You will study at your own pace, take the assignment test, and earn a 30-hour certificate for your dedicated efforts.
Students will be using David Kyle's online program, which holds accreditation from Yoga Alliance. David Kyle is an authorized Level 2 Ashtanga Teacher and an anatomy guru. He is well known for making this subject accessible and comprehensive to the average person.
You will explore the ancient wisdom of yoga philosophy, including the study of yoga texts and concepts.
The philosophy segment will be conducted in an online format, to be completed before the training in Greece starts. This online module covers 30 hours.
Topics covered are Yoga history, Patanjali's yoga sutras, subtle body, Chakras, the history of Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga, Yamas, and Niyamas.
You will be introduced to Pranayama and Meditation techniques rooted in ancient tantric traditions through a structured and simple approach. You will start every morning with these practices so you can feel grounded and ready for the rest of the day.
Upon completing the course, you will be equipped with practices that you can use in your everyday life.
The instructions in this course are in the English language, however, you don't need to be proficient in English. People of all backgrounds who are passionate about yoga are invited to join our 2-week yoga teacher training program, and we especially encourage individuals dealing with injuries to attend. Besides, who doesn't have injuries, right?
What's most important is that the applicant arrives with an open mindset, a genuine enthusiasm for acquiring knowledge, and readiness to embrace the role of the student. Should these values resonate with you, we welcome you with open arms.
This course is not a yoga holiday 😀 You will be asked to actively participate, study, and be present. You have to fulfill all course requirements to graduate successfully. At the end of the course, there will be a written exam and a practical exam in the form of peer teaching.
Upon successful completion of all assignments, you will receive a 200-hour Yoga Alliance certificate of completion and be eligible to register with Yoga Alliance USA and Yoga Alliance UKas a 200-hr Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT-200).
The Yoga Alliance certification means that you can secure a job, anywhere in the world. By going with a non-YA certified school, you restrict yourself to studios that do not require YA certification. Is it worth the risk?

Certification and Educational Categories
This 2-week Yoga Teacher Training in Greece is registered with Yoga Alliance U.S.A. and Yoga Professionals U.K.
It focuses on 4 educational categories:
Asana practice: You will practice Ashtanga and Vinyasa Yoga. This is not a "multi-style" yoga training where you learn "everything" and nothing well. Don't fall into the trap of multi-style programs, which try to please everyone. We like to keep things focused and we hope you appreciate that too.
Teaching Skills & Adjustments: You will start teaching and practice hands-on adjustments on your fellow students from day one. You will receive constant feedback from your teacher so that you can improve each and every time. This will prepare you to become a confident yoga teacher should you wish to teach after the course is over.
Yoga Philosophy: While the asana is all about how-to-do yoga, in philosophy you will finally go deep into the why behind it. This topic is covered online by the student, before the course.
Functional Anatomy, so that you can understand sequencing, how your own body moves, and how your students' bodies move in the postures. This module will help you create safe and sustainable yoga classes for your students. Covered online by the student, before the course.
Hybrid training isn't for everyone, but it might just be for you. Step into the online realm with self-discipline, and brace yourself for an intense in-person experience – less vacation, more teacher training boot camp. Let us transform your passion into expertise. Let the hybrid yoga journey begin!

Frequently Asked Questions about the Hybrid 200-hr YTT
I cannot do crazy postures. Can I still join this course?
Of course you can. The asanas are a never-ending journey and we shouldn't get trapped in this. The point of this course is not to leave on a one-hand handstand. The main aim is to practice, gain knowledge, and learn as many skills as you can so that you learn the correct alignment of the asanas, learn how to teach, and dive deeper into all yoga things.
Will I learn how to teach yoga?
Yes! We put a lot of emphasis on this section. You will teach a lot during the course and gain continuous feedback so that you can improve day by day. You will be confident and equipped with great teaching tools, which are not typically provided in most 200-hour courses offered by other yoga schools.
What happens if I need to cancel my spot?
As long as you let us know at least 42 days before the course starts, your deposit will automatically get transferred to a future course. Any cancelation notifications received within 42 days before the course starts, your deposit of 400€ will no longer be transferable and will be lost.
On which day should I arrive?
The arrival date is on the 8th of May. Find a flight that gets to Athens Airport earlier or around 2:00 p.m. so that you can get the shared mini bus with everyone else. The ride from Athens Airport to the retreat center is around 2.5 hours. Check-out is on the 22nd of May. The bus can pick all students up from the retreat center around 7:00 a.m., you can be at Athens Airport around 9:30 a.m., so plan your flight accordingly.
Are there any additional "hidden" costs I should know about?
1. As lunch is not included in this course, students may want to shop at the local supermarket for extra food. 15€/week would be more than enough. 2. Your transportation can cost anywhere between 40-65€ one way for the minibus 4. Any personal expenses that you think you might need.
Who are the teachers of this course? I'd like to know that beforehand.
We will announce the teachers in early 2025. All our teachers are highly experienced and specialized in the subjects they will teach.
How many students do you accept per course?
Due to the limited capacity of the retreat center, we can accommodate approximately 22-25 students. To ensure your spot, we encourage early applications, especially because there is online content that should be completed in advance.
